Mary Kay Oil Mattifier

Oil on the skin’s surface helps the upper layer of the skin retain water and protects the skin from environmental causes of dryness. It also can give skin a greasy or sticky feel that is present several hours after cleansing.
This lightweight formula dries to a natural, matte finish, instantly absorbing oil and controlling shine for at least eight hours.
Suitable for sensitive skin.
Clinically tested for skin irritancy and allergy.
Fragrance and oil free.
Will not clog pores.
Price $15.00
I have to say I like this mattifier better than the primer.
I use it after my moisturizer and before my foundation.
I noticed that it does keep my makeup in place and my skin has become less oily when I wear this.
I also set my foundation with the Mary Kay Setting Spray and its just an Amazing Combo.
I have found that I do not touch up as much, maybe once if its really necessary or if it is extremely hot and if  I'm very active, otherwise I do not feel the need to touch up when I wear this oil mattifier and the setting spray.
I definitely recommend this one to those with oily skin.
I hope this review was helpful.
Here is a photo I took at different times throughout the day.
from left to right
8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.
I did not touch up at all.

Mary Kay Eye Primer

Mary Kay Eye Primer is a waterproof formula that glides on smoothly to extend the wear of eye color and prevent it from creasing and smudging.
Suitable for sensitive skin. Fragrance-free. Ophthalmologist-tested.
Suitable for contact lens wearers.
Price $12.00
I actually like this eye primer. I have been wearing it a lot lately and it does make my eye shadow last. The texture is a medium/thick white lotion like product, but its easy to apply.
It does make the colors appear more vibrant.
The price is not as bad compared to my HG Mac's Paint Pots and UD Primer Potion.
Overall this is a great product and will keep buying.

With no primer on the left, with primer on the right.
Hope this review was helpful!

Mary Kay Setting Spray

Set your look for lasting beauty!
When makeup meltdown is not an option, give it the staying power to last up to 16 hours.
Preserves full coverage.
Prevents color loss.
Reduces Shine
As a final step, helps makeup look freshly applied for hours.
Also works as a refresher any time of the day.
Dries quickly and washes off easily.
For any skin type, even oily.
2 fl. oz.
Price $18.00
So I have been wanting the try the famous Skindinavia finishing spray, heard so many great stuff about it. I also heard that Skindinavia partnered up Urban Decay and made the  All Nighter Setting Spray. Since I wanted to try either one I gave Mary Kay a chance.
It does make my foundation and blush last longer, I didn't feel the need to touch up as much. I applied my makeup at 8 am checked at 9 pm and I still had blush on without touching up. It does say it's also for oily skin, lately I have been experiencing oily skin and I did not feel it to be sticky or oily on my face.
The only thing that I'm not to crazy about is the price. it is $18 for 2 fl. oz.
I would buy it again but maybe thru Skindinavia to add it on my Freelance Makeup Kit.
Skindinavia is 4 fl. oz for $29, cheaper right?
This setting spray is a great item to carry with you on Special Events or if you are a Makeup Artist, so that the makeup can last longer on your clients.
Overall I liked the product and I recommend it to you guys to give it a shot.
Hope this review was helpful.
As always Thanks for Stopping by!

Mary Kay Brush Cleaner

This fast-drying cleaner eliminates makeup residue from brushes to provide proper hygiene.
Helps to provide stay-true color between applications of different shades and textures.
Helps condition bristles to protect your investment.
Brushes feel new and perform like new after use.
Keeps brushes smelling clean and fresh.
Brushes dry in their original shape.
Price $10.00
It is fast drying I can say, it also leaves a nice smell after your brush is dry.
Cleaning wise it does a descent job in taking off the makeup off your eye brushes daily.
As for foundation or cream  product used brushes it does not take it off that well in my opinion.
Then again I usually shampoo my foundation and cream brushes once a week.
This brush cleaner reminds me of the elf and Sephora brush cleaner scent wise.
Cleaning power I think I like Sephora's just a bit more.
Between elf and Mary Kay I think they are very similar.
As for the price you get 6 FL. oz. for $10.00 not bad I think.
Overall I do like this brush cleaner for a daily use.
Below is a picture of a before and after brush cleaning.
You be the judge and tell me what you think. =)

Face Painting by Laura

As I mentioned on my previous post. I have been very busy with my Face Painting business which I am very Thankful for. This business was mainly for my daughter's purpose.
My daughter Alexa will be turn 12 years old this April 28.
She loves everything about Art just like her momma.
I started Face Painting because she encouraged me to take a shot at it.
We succeded, she started going with me to my Face Painting Gigs and enjoyed every moment of it.
I bought her temporary tattoos so that she can apply it to the kiddos while they waited for their turn.
Then we found out about Glitter Tattos and she officially became Alexa The Glitter Fairy.
She now says that this is how we spend quality time together.
I'm glad she can stay busy and look forward to our Saturdays together, and well it beats her being on the cell phone playing games. We've had so much fun doing this which it is the purpose of it.
I want to enjoy every minute I can with her as she will soon go thru the Teenage Phase and may soon start to ignore me and build a world of her own which is so sad to think of but I guess it its the facts of life.
Here are some pictures of my work and Alexa's Glitter Tattoos.
Hope you guys liked them.

Thanks for Stopping by!

PRICE $20.00
I recently purchased  a few items from Mary Kay, this foundation in particular is not one of the items I liked. It says it provides medium to full coverage. I usually wear full coverage foundations and it is what I usually look for in them.. Full coverage...
This foundation did not give me the full coverage I look for in a foundation.
I had to set it with my Artisty Ideal dual Powder foundation to achieve a better look.
It made my skin look ashy. The color line is either too orange or too pink. I like yellow undertone foundations. The shade that matched me and was still a bit too white was Ivory 6. The next shade was too pink so I much rather get a lighter foundation and set it with a darker powder than getting a pink tone foundation which usually makes me look red-brown. I really wanted to like this foundation but was bummed out with the results. I don't think I will repurchase again.
I really hope this review was helpful. As I always say what may work for me may not work for you and vise versa. I've heard other's love this foundation but it was just not meant for me. :(

Kerasys Salon Care Shampoo and Conditioner

It provides intensive recovery and rejuvenation on severely damaged hair and hair loss caused by repeated magic straight perm, chemical treatments and frequent use of heat tools.
Visibly repairs hair damage and transforms lifeless hair into fuller, healthier tresses.

3-Steps in recovery technology
Step 1. Natural Keratin replenishes lost proteins in hair.
Step 2. Red wine polyphenols prevent hair breakage and improve hair elasticity.
Step 3. Crystal extract coats and protects damaged hair shafts.

1.6 times more visible results in repairing hair damage from frequent heat/chemical treatment,
79% improvement in hair breakage.

This is the first shampoo set I tried from this line.
I have to say that it actually helped my hair by repairing the damaged that was caused by bleaching(highlights) and flat ironing. I was given sample packages by a friend and noticed the difference in the feel of my hair maybe by the 3rd. use.
I then got the full size set and I just can't stop talking about this product.
My hair felt very soft and I started seeing that shine that had been gone for a long time.
I am not a hair expert but I can say that this shampoo does do what it states.
I am very happy with this line of hair products and thought I should share it with you guys.

Hope this review was helpful!

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Micro-Corrector Applicator micro-fills and smoothes.
Active formula with Haloxyl reduces the look of puffiness
and shadows while fading the appearance of under-eye circles.
Apply Neutralizer shade for extremely dark circles.
The Brightener shade adds a luminous touch.
Price $9.99 at CVS

I have been using this concealer for a while now and I really like it alot.
I love how this concealer, does not crease
into my under eye lines as most concealers do.
I have not put down these concealers since I got them.
I got 3 shades to see which ones matches me better.
My Favorite Shade is in Neutralizer.
I like this shade because it is more yellow under toned than the Light shade which is more on the pink side.
I love it so much that I am completely out of this concealer and need to get a new one.
I use this on top of liquid foundation for full coverage or
under powder foundation on a daily basis.
It really does brighten under my eyes.
Overall this is my favorite drugstore concealer and I really hope it does not get discontinued.

Neutralizer, Light and Medium

oriental shampoo

I am absolutely in LOVE with this Hair product.
This shampoo is supposed to help hair breakage, it makes your hair stronger,
gives glossiness and at the same time helps repair damaged hair.
I have tried 3 shampoo's in this line and loved them all.
They all do work differently.
I have coarse curly hair, I have given up straightening my hair for about a year now.
I used to dye and bleach my hair for highlights and all that  stuff.
It came to a point where my hair got to expensive to maintain and not to mention the damaged
I caused it. My hair did not look nice when I straighten it anymore it look like grass and had no body.
It was horrible. Even when I tried to keep my curls, my curls did not have that bounce anymore my hair was practically dead.  =(
I have been using this line for about 2 years I want to say and I love it. I alternate between the types of this shampoo/conditioner line so that my hair doesn't get used to one.
I heard that its good to alternate shampoo's.
I just started using this Oriental Premium line and I have to say that I really like it just as the others.
With this one I have noticed my hair's shine is back and when I style my curls they actually bounce now.
This shampoo made my hair feel soft,  my hair was way less tangled which I struggle with when its wet.
The texture on the shampoo is nice and it foams up alot which for me is a plus since I like my products to foam up. The conditioner's texture is  thicker. It leaves my hair very soft.
I have left the straightening alone unless it is for a special occasion.
I pay $18.00 for each.
I am very happy with this product and will keep using them.
I will be reviewing the rest of the line for this and hope you guys can find the one that suits your hair type.
I am not an expert in hair I am speaking of my personal use and results.
I am giving my honest opinion on this product.
I hope this review was helpful.
